The start of the walk is in a small village - a number of roadside parking spaces exist, but please share to keep cars to a min., in case other people have the idea to park up in the village on the same day.

The walk involves 3,100ft. of ascent - I may do a lower level walk if the weather is bad or it looks particularly cloudy, as the main appeal of this walk are the great views over the Eden Valley, Lake District and Teesdale, and navigating off Cross/Great Dun Fell in poor visibility doesn’t appeal – if I do organise an alternative, I’ll try to keep the walk length approx. the same – start time and location will be unchanged.
