If you’re planning to join me on my (un-recced) walk on Saturday, here are the details:-
There's a fish & chip shop in Whitby that made it to the final of the Seafish best fish & chip shop 2009 competition - ‘Royal Fisheries’.
In celebration of this (& because I can’t think of a better excuse), I’m doing a linear walk between Whitby and Glaisdale, using the Esk Valley Way (about 10 miles), and stopping off for fish & chips at the end.
Park in Whitby, get the 12.05 bus (route 99, Whitby to Lealholm, stand no 4) to Glaisdale, walk back to Whitby (arriving around 5pm) & then eat fish & chips.
I’m afraid I don’t know how much the bus fare is, so bring money with you - coins rather than notes, for those of you that don’t travel by bus often!
Also, bring full waterproofs (this is the UK after all), drinks and a light lunch with you.
Car share: Teesside Park @ 10:45. (The fewer parking spaces we have to find in Whitby, the better)
Meeting point: Whitby bus station in time to catch the 12:05 bus.
